Mannam Memorial Educational and Charitable Trust (MMECT) is a registered public educational and charitable trust committed to providing affordable and quality education. Inspired by the ideals of Sri Mannathu Padmanabhan, the Trust focuses on academic excellence, moral values, and inclusive learning. HISTORY

K Karnataka Nair Service Society (KNSS) was established in Karnataka on 8th June 1982, as a socio-cultural organization with the objective of promoting social welfare, education, cultural values, and community development. In furtherance of these objectives, seven dedicated Directors of the Board of Management of KNSS registered an Educational Trust on 3rd September 1987 in the name of Mannam Memorial Educational Trust (MMET), as the educational wing of KNSS.

The Trust started a Primary school in Kammanahalli in M.S.Nagar on 2nd October of the same year, to cater to the growing educational needs of the lower and middle class families of the area. The school, which started with less than fifty students, had become a fully developed institution as M.M.E.T English Primary and High School, offering quality education from Pre-Primary to High School level, in a short span of time.

Mannam Memorial Educational Trust (MMET) has been renamed as Mannam Memorial Educational and Charitable Trust (MMECT) on 5th January 2006, to reflect its expanded commitment to both education and social service. While continuing its mission of providing quality education at affordable cost, the Trust now also embraces broader charitable initiatives.

MMECT has taken over the management of KNSS Vidyamandir English Primary and High School in 2012. The school was established by the Dooravaninagar Karayogam of KNSS in 2006. The school is located in Mannamnagar, off Thambuchetty Palaya Main Road in KR Puram Hobli Bangalore South Taluk.

Over the years, Mannam Memorial Educational and Charitable Trust (MMECT) has consistently demonstrated commendable performance through its commitment to academic excellence and holistic development. The institutions under the Trust have maintained strong academic standards while actively encouraging co-curricular and community-oriented activities. Through dedicated management, committed faculty, and the support of the community, MMECT continues to expand its educational initiatives and strengthen its role in shaping responsible, knowledgeable, and value-driven citizens.

OBJECTS OF THE TRUST

(i) To serve the general public irrespective of caste, creed, or religion in the matter of education and to that end

a)

Establish, administer, run and assist in so doing educational institutions including Nursery, Primary and Secondary schools, Colleges, Technical Colleges and Institutions, Post Graduate and Research Institutions and the like.

b)

Establish and run hostels for students.

c)

Teach and promote the study of Malayalam.

d)

Give loans, stipends, scholarships and such other assistance to economically backward students and in all other ways to serve the cause of education.

(ii) To undertake charitable activities like giving food and clothing to the poor and disabled persons and to afford relief to people in distress due to natural calamities, accidents, riots, earthquakes, floods, famine, epidemics and conduct or grant donations for the support of orphanages, destitute homes and welfare institutions.

(iii) To help poor orphans, physically or mentally handicapped, mentally retarded persons, widows, the aged and other disabled persons by providing monetary and / or any other assistance by payment in cash or kind, supply of cloth, food, shelter, medical facilities and the like at free of cost or at concessional rates.

(iv) To promote art and culture by providing financial and other assistance.

(v) Extending financial help to the society on socially relevant matters.

The benefit of the TRUST shall be open to all irrespective of
caste, creed or religion.
